Bindu says that if you eat 6 to 11 servings from the rice, bread, pasta, and cereal group, then out of these servings, 3 should be of whole grains. In addition to this, you should eat 3 to 5 servings of vegetables, and 2 to 3 servings of fruit.  

Eat Different Kinds Of Nutrient Rich Foods:
An individual needs approximately 40 various types of nutrients for good health. Try to include bread and other whole grain products, including vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, and protein foods in your daily food selection. Bindu Vethody says how much a person should eat depends on his or her calorie needs. They can use the Nutrition Facts panel on food labels and the Food Guide Pyramid, as handy references.  

Eat Regular Meals:
He explains that skipping meals can contribute to out of control hunger, which can result in overeating. When people are very hungry, they generally forget about their good nutrition. Bindu advises that taking snacks between meals can help them curb their hunger, but he suggests individuals not to eat too much that these snacks become their entire meal.
